FAQ

Questions travellers ask

Is the palace ticket included?

Yes. Your skip-the-line ticket is part of the price. Nothing to buy on the day.

Will we have to queue?

No. You enter through the reserved gate, which bypasses the main queue — often a long one in high season.

Where do we meet in Paris?

At 6 avenue du Docteur Brouardel, in the 7th arrondissement, a short walk from the Eiffel Tower. Your confirmation email gives the exact reporting time.

How long does the visit last?

About an hour inside the palace. You are then free to explore the estate at your own pace, for as long as you like.

Is there a guide?

It depends on the option you choose: one includes a guide, the other leaves you to visit on your own. The guide's language is shown when you pick your departure.

Are the gardens included?

Yes, including Musical Fountains and Musical Gardens days, when the gardens normally carry a charge.

Can I take photographs in the Hall of Mirrors?

Yes, without flash, anywhere in the palace. Tripods, selfie sticks and monopods remain forbidden inside.

What happens if it rains?

The visit goes ahead: most of it is indoors. Only the park and gardens may close in high winds, for safety.

Can I bring a pushchair?

Pushchairs are not allowed in the state apartments. A free cloakroom near the entrance takes them, along with coats and large bags.

Can I bring food?

Food is not allowed inside the palace, but it is permitted in the gardens, in the areas set aside for it. Clear water bottles under 50 cl are accepted throughout.
